The MEL Council has decided to revise the fishery certification standard to respond to the international changes in the expected role of seafood ecolabels. This revision is based on the five-year review stipulated in the MEL management and operation rules. In addition, we will also revise the Guideline for Auditors along with the revision of the standard.

Therefore, we are inviting public comments on the following draft revisions. The comments received will be carefully examined by the Standards Committee and reflected in the draft to create the final version.
