We are pleased to announce that the MEL Aquaculture Management Standard (AMS) Ver.2.0 has been officially effective from Monday, August 1, 2022. Along with the revised standard, AMS Guidelines for Auditors – Indicators of Conformity – Ver.2.0 and Checklist for Auditors of AMS Ver.2.0 have also been revised.

The transition period is set for three years, which will be ended on July 31, 2025. The certified entities are requested to take a new assessment based on the AMS Ver.2.0 at the time of surveillance assessment or renewal assessment within the three years. Please note that a new application based on the old standard (Ver.1.0) is not accepted after the new standard (Ver.2.0) comes into effective.
